The School’s faculty members, students, partners and administrators employ the highest
standards of ethical and professional conduct in a team-based
environment of business education delivery. Our operating philosophy is
underpinned by the following core values:
These values, in a
nutshell, describe who we are, how we treat one another and the way we
conduct ourselves. In so doing we are committed to
the highest standards of academic integrity and expect our faculty and
students to exhibit exemplary behavior in this regard.
As indicated in our mission, ethics permeates all we do and impart to our students. To this
end, OSB has pioneered the promotion of ethics & corporate social
responsibility awareness in the region through several faculty and
student driven initiatives and programs, the most notable of which are:
-
The OSB Corporate Governance Program. This unique regional initiative serves as an incubator for examining and
advancing the notion that corporations can and should serve society.
The program provides active support for research in corporate
governance and disseminates its work to the region’s academic,
policy-making and professional communities. The objective is to promote
organizational reform for greater corporate transparency and
accountability in the Middle East region. Working together with
government officials, regulators, and members of associations and groups
active in corporate governance, the program explores avenues for better
governance practices and the adoption thereof. The program advances its
purpose by:
- Hosting conferences, roundtables, and workshop
- Sponsoring empirical research and teaching
- Generating think tank reports relevant to policymaking
